Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 August 2026
These Terms govern your use of idunno.ai (“idunno”, the “service”), an independent service. By using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
idunno helps you decide what to eat, do, watch, gift, read or drink, and where to travel, by generating ideas with AI. Everything the service produces is a suggestion only — a starting point for your own decision.
2. No warranties — verify before you rely
AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for checking anything important before you rely on it— including allergens and ingredients, dietary and health suitability, safety, prices and availability, and whether an activity is legal or appropriate for you. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and is not a substitute for professional medical, financial, legal, or other advice.
3. Accounts
You may use idunno as a guest or create an account. If you create an account, provide a valid email address, keep your credentials secure, and take responsibility for activity under your account. You can permanently delete your account at any time from the Settings page.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- abuse, disrupt, scrape, or overload the service;
- circumvent usage limits or rate limits, or use the service through automated means beyond normal personal use;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose or to generate harmful content.
5. Usage limits & future paid tiers
Free and guest use is subject to fair-use limits that we may adjust to keep the service available to everyone. We may introduce paid plans in the future; any pricing and additional terms will be presented to you before you subscribe.
6. Intellectual property
The content you create or save through the service is yours. The idunno name, branding, and the application itself remain ours. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service under these Terms.
Generated content.Ideas here are produced by AI models. Generated text can resemble existing material, and generated images are not guaranteed to be free of anyone else’s rights. Before you reuse anything from here commercially or publish it as your own, check that you’re free to do so. We make no promise that generated content is original or that you own rights in it.
Third-party names.Films, books, shops, products and brands are named only to describe or refer to the real thing. We claim no ownership of those names or marks, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by their owners. Where a page embeds a video, it is played from the third-party platform that hosts it, under that platform’s terms.
Reporting infringement. If something on the service infringes your rights, tell us and we will act on it — see the Copyright & takedown page for what to send and what we do about it.
7. Ideas you save are published
Saving an idea also publishes an anonymised copy of it — its title, summary, the generated detail, and the structured choices behind it (never free-text you typed, never a precise location) — to the public Ideas pages, which are open to everyone and indexed by search engines. Nothing identifies you. By saving an idea you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display that anonymised copy. You can turn this off at any time in Settings, which stops future saves from being published; ask us if you want an already-published copy removed.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on a suggestion from the service. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law, or our liability for matters that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes & termination
We may update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and continued use means you accept the change. We may suspend or end access to the service, and you may stop using it, at any time.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
